This was the final day of cycling, so we would be heading back to where we started in Salzburg. Unfortunately the forecast was for heavy rain all day, so we prepared all our waterproofs.
When we reached St Gilgen, the weather had brightened up so we decided to take a break and go up a final cable car and have a little walk around. The weather turned just as we were about to go back down and we ended up being stuck for 1.5 hours as the cable car had to stop running as a thunderstorm passed, but at least we were out of the rain.
Once back down there was a gap in the rain we were able to get about half way to Salzburg before the heavy rain started, so there weren’t many photo stops for the last couple of hours! The rain finally eased off just as we got back to the city.
