Mapping our travels was created by me (Nikki) – someone who likes travelling, maps and taking photos.

I created this website as I wanted a way to keep a record of places my husband (Mike) and I have been, with the routes we took, on explorable maps with lots of photos.  I tried using some sites already available that do similar, but they all had little things I didn’t like, such as low res images and inflexible route mapping, so I decided to make my own using WordPress and leaflet maps that I then had full control over!

We’re not aiming to be travel bloggers or claiming to be great photographers, this is purely just our personal collection of holiday journals from various countries, and a map of all the places we’ve been across Japan, the country we visit the most.
