The next day we went on a walk through Avakas Gorge, not far from Paphos
Firstly we had to get to the start of the trail – we could only drive so far as the road become unpaved and too rocky for the little hire car, so we had to walk the last mile. We could see the entrance to the gorge in the distance
Once actually on the gorge trail, it started as an open path along the river
After a while, it suddenly got much narrower with impressively high walls either side
After continuing further, it opened up a bit again and there were some pools with lots of noisy frogs in
We then re-traced our steps back the way we came, taking more photos as it just looked cool!
