After the walk, we headed to the village of Kakopetria, stopping first at the Church of Saint Nicholas of the Roof on the outskirts of the village.

This small church is from the 11th Century and the oldest of a number of painted churches in the troodos region that are a world heritage site. Inside all the walls and ceilings are completely covered with paintings.
