Akihabara
Our hotel room had a good view straight down from the electric town exit of the station to the main Chou dori street.
We spent the day wandering around Akihabara, shopping, playing crane games, and also doing a stamp rally.
In the afternoon we had a reservation at Conner and Mouse’s collab cafe at the Pasela Honey Toast Cafe. We had a couple of the themed drinks and shared the huge honey toast the cafe is known for. A hollowed out loaf of Shokopan, filled with toasted bread cubes drizzled in honey, cream, fruit and ice cream. It was very over the top, but it was a tasty treat
Tokyo Mega Illumi
In the evening we went to Oi Racecourse to see the Tokyo Mega Illumi, a large winter illumination.
Once back in Akihabara, we went to Yamachan to have lots of peppery, crispy chicken wings and sides for dinner.
