Hakone Shrine
The next morning it was time to leave Tokyo and make our way to Hakone for a night. The weather was pretty bad by the time we got there, but that did at least mean we got Hakone Shrine pretty much to ourselves – on busy days there can actually be a queue to get a photo of the Torii gate!
Bakery and Table
The rain and wind were getting rather too strong and we were now soaked, so rather than our planned walk along the Old Tokaido Trail to a tea house, we made our way back along the lake edge towards the buses. We stopped along the way for a tasty Curry Pan and Hojicha Latte at Bakery and Table. The cafe floor has great views looking out over Lake Ashi.
