For our third day, we drove to the Akamas Peninsula in order to walk the Adonis and Aphrodite Loop trail. After parking near the Baths of Aphrodite, we walked along the coast path.
After a while, we branched away from the coast and started heading up to Moutti tis Sotiras, the highest point on the Akamas Pennisula
There were lots of stops for photos as we slowly got higher (or perhaps they were an excuse for a rest). We could see all the boats going to the Blue Lagoon in the distance.
There were also lots of Cyprus Rock Agama about, resting in the sun
Then we finally made it to the top, where there were great 360 degree views of the whole peninsula. It was definitely worth the effort to get there!
After having a snack and enjoying the view for a while longer, we made our way back down
Also spotted a little Snake-Eyed Lizard by the path
We followed the Adonis Trail back to the carpark, and after a quick look around the Baths of Aphrodite, we headed back to the villa for a cool off in the pool!
