Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon
Today we started with a boat trip around the ice on Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Fjallsárlón is smaller than Jokulsarlon, and on the day we visited, also with much choppier water. However because it’s much smaller, the boat trip can take you a lot closer to the edge of the glacier for some good views of the jagged ice – at Jokulsarlon it’s far off in the distance.
After the boat we had a walk around the lagoon and a look at the small icebergs that were near the shore.
